The views from our lodge were absolutely stunning, providing a beautiful backdrop for our romantic escape. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of marshmallows provided for toasting on the campfire. the presence of horses and a colorful parrot added a charming and entertaining aspect to our stay.
The sleeping arrangements were less than ideal. the pull-out bed for our two pre-teen girls was small and the mattress thin, resulting in a restless night's sleep.

Our stay at Lakeside Lodge was excellent value for money. The room provided everything we needed, including tea/coffee facilities and a cozy atmosphere. The location was simply breathtaking, with beautiful views and the added bonus of horses and a visiting parrot that kept the kids entertained. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Food for breakfast could have been better with more variety and options.

Board games were available, but unfortunately there were quite a few missing pieces. The hotel provided welcome towels, marshmallows, and kitchen necessities, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was convenient for exploring the area.
The small UHT milks provided were not ideal; it would have been better to have a small pint of semi-skimmed milk in the fridge upon arrival.

I had a lovely stay at Lakeside Lodge. The board games provided were a nice touch, although some pieces were missing. I appreciated the welcome towels, marshmallows, and kitchen essentials that were provided. The small UHT milks were a minor drawback, as I would have preferred a small pint of semi-skimmed milk in the fridge upon arrival. The main flushable toilet could have been cleaner. And, I must admit, I was startled by the presence of a big insect on the window sill. However, overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

The welcome towels and kitchen bits provided were a nice touch, making us feel instantly comfortable and at home. The location was great, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature and close proximity to a lake, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Plus, the board games available added an element of fun and relaxation during our stay.
The small UHT milks were a bit disappointing, it would have been better to have a pint of semi-skimmed milk in the fridge upon arrival. Additionally, the cleanliness of the main flushable toilet left something to be desired, as we encountered a big insect on the window sill that was rather startling.
